Billing guidelines
Your bills go through the Pharmacy Benefits Management Program (PBM), which is managed by Telus Health Solutions (Assure Health). Injured workers who qualify for the program receive a card from us which allows for direct billing. This card will cover medications related to one specific WorkSafeBC claim number.
Generally speaking, we pay 100 percent of the acquisition cost of a drug, and a professional fee up to $12. This rate will depend on your agreement with Telus Health Solutions.
Your Assure Pharmacy Manual provides specific details of our policies and practices. It covers:
- Days-supply for drugs
- No-substitution policies
- Pricing
- Compounds
- Professional fees
Prescriptions must be sent to Pharmacare with the DE intervention code. If you need help processing prescriptions using the Pharmacy Benefit Card, refer to your Assure Pharmacy Manual.
For help with entering the DE intervention code, or overriding for brand name drugs, please contact your pharmacy software vendor.
If there are benefits which are not going through on the PBM card, please contact our Prescription Drug Services team.
Checking your payment status
The fastest, easiest way to check the status of your invoice is through our online check invoice status tool.
