On October 22, 2015, the Board of Directors approved the deletion of section 3.4 and consequential amendment to section 24.34 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation, B.C. Reg. 296/97 (OHSR), as a result of changes to the Workers Compensation Act regarding employers' reports of accidents or incident investigations.

The amendments to the OHSR came into effect on February 1, 2016.

Because the recent proposed changes to the Workers Compensation Act in Bill 35, the Workers Compensation Amendment Act (No. 2), 2015, will have a direct impact on the interim Employer Incident Investigation policies, only the consequential amendments to the OHSR and related stakeholder feedback were presented to the Board of Directors at its most recent meeting. All stakeholder feedback will be reviewed by the Board of Directors when it considers its decision on the Employer Incident Investigation policies.
