On November 20, 2013, the Board of Directors approved amendments to policy item C3-22.40, Compensable Consequences - Certain Diseases and Conditions, in the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual, Volume II.

This policy was amended to delete the section which provided that multiple sclerosis could be precipitated by traumatic injury in a predisposed person.

This policy amendment will came into effect on January 1, 2014 and applies to all decisions, including appellate decisions made on or after that date.
