At its meeting on March 21, 2006, the Board of Directors approved the release of proposed amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation to public hearings.

The following amendment items were the subject of the May 2006 public hearings:

• Part 6, Substance Specific Requirements (sections 6.33 and 6.36)
• Part 9, Confined Spaces (sections 9.11, 9.18, and 9.22)
• Part 13, Ladders, Scaffolds and Temporary Work Platforms (sections 13.23 and 13.33)
• Part 14, Cranes and Hoists (sections 14.34, 14.34.1 and 14.91)
• Part 18, Traffic Control Part 8, Personal Protective Clothing and Equipment (section 8.24) (consequential to proposed amendments to Part 18)
• Part 20, Construction, Excavation and Demolition (section 20.4)
• Part 23, Oil and Gas (section 23.14)
• Part 24, Diving, Fishing and Other Marine Operations (sections 24.93, 24.104 and 24.106)
