The Board of Directors approved reinsertion into the Rehabilitation Services & Claims Manual direction that, whenever a lump-sum payment or commutation is calculated following the review or appeal process, the calculation will be based on the date on which it is processed. This direction appears in policy item #45.61 - Calculation of Lump-sum Payment or Commutation. This reinsertion is being done on an interim basis, pending a review of the applicability of the direction over the longer term.
