The application of novel measurement and field evaluation protocols for assessing healthcare workers’ exposure to antineoplastic drugs; evaluation of their utility for exposure assessment
The research team has devised sampling and analytical protocols that are able to detect six antineoplastic drugs simultaneously. This research aims to test and validate these protocols in a hospital setting where antineoplastic drugs are handled and, in turn, evaluate their utility as occupational exposure assessment tools for healthcare facilities. The objective of the research is to develop a standardized set of exposure assessment protocols that will allow a facility to be self-sufficient in collecting environmental monitoring samples.
