Discussion Paper - Multiple Sclerosis as a Compensable Consequence of Traumatic Injury Consultation
Current policy provided that the onset of multiple sclerosis (“MS”) could be precipitated by a compensable traumatic injury in an individual who was predisposed to the disease. Concerns were raised regarding the scientific basis for this policy.
At issue was a review of the current MS policy to determine if it was supportable by current science.
Consultation closed September 27, 2013.
