At its July 2023 meeting, WorkSafeBC’s Board of Directors approved the 2023 amendments pertaining to Asbestos Certification and Licensing to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation and the addition of Item P2-59.03-1, Asbestos Abatement Licensing to the Prevention Manual.

The amendments to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation will become effective on January 1, 2024.

The policy applies to all decisions made on or after September 1, 2023.
