This edition of the Prevention Manual reflects the following updates. 

Amendments to the Prevention Manual

At its May 2013 meeting, WorkSafeBC’s Board of Directors approved the deletion of two policies from the Prevention Manual. Policy R17.13-1, regarding seating capacity, is redundant, as part of the policy is already addressed by the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation ("OHSR") while other parts are not suited for policy. The Board of Directors’ resolution is available for reference.

Policy R26.79-1, regarding maintenance of forest roads, conflicts with the recent amendments to the OHSR. The Board of Directors’ resolution is available for reference.

The changes will become effective June 28, 2013.
