The purpose of this handbook is to raise awareness about domestic violence in the workplace. It describes the signs and effects, your potential legal obligations as an employer, and provides recommendations and tools to address domestic violence in the workplace. While intended for employers, the handbook may also be useful to others in your organization who deal with domestic and other forms of workplace violence. This handbook does not reference B.C. laws so it can be used by employers outside of B.C. Employers in B.C. should use the B.C. handbook.
