To determine whether there is any evidence to support the efficacy and/or effectiveness of pulsed electromagnetic field stimulators (PEMF), in particular the Biomet® EBI Bone Healing System, as treatment for non-union femoral fracture, for patients who were unresponsive to previous low intensity pulse ultrasound (LIPUS) treatment.
