Working safely in avalanche areas
We want to remind employers with staff working in the backcountry that they must provide the proper equipment, processes, resources, and training to their workers, whether they are employed in eco-tourism, hospitality, forestry, or recreation. The Occupational Health and Safety Regulation requires an avalanche risk assessment and safety plan when workers are exposed to avalanche terrain.
