Physiomoves is following industry protocols to keep their team safe
As a physiotherapy clinic, Physiomoves strives to get people back to feeling their best. During the COVID-19 outbreak, they initially focused on remote treatment for their patients, but now that restrictions have eased they are happy to be back in the office offering a mix of hands-on and remote physical therapy.
“It’s very important to me as an employer, a colleague, a member of this community, and a Dad, that I set up my practice to be as safe as possible as the restrictions are lifted and we resume business in our offices,” says Tyler Dumont, Physiomoves clinic director.
Tyler and his team used the industry protocols for health professions to ensure physical distancing where possible, through the use of plexiglass barriers at their reception area, signage, and floor markings. When providing treatment to patients they ensure the space is sanitized between clients, and have implemented rigorous hand-washing protocols. Masks are also available for all patients, therapists, and staff.
“My team is very important to me,” says Tyler, “and their health and safety comes first.
“We help people as a part of our job every day, and it’s incredibly important that my team feels safe and supported so that they can focus on that important work.”
Healthy and safe workplaces contribute to a safe and healthy province. As COVID-19 restrictions are lifted and more businesses resume operations in B.C., let's all do our part.
