Managing your employer account during postal delays

Published on: December 24, 2024

WorkSafeBC encourages employers to take advantage of our online services to view insurance-related correspondence and to meet payment and reporting deadlines in the case of postal delays.

WorkSafeBC mail related to your employer account may be delayed following the postal disruption. This may include statements related to your account balance, payroll reports, invoices, or information on your account status. Our employer online services are the easiest way for you to stay up to date and report payroll, pay premiums, and more.

If you don’t already have an online services account, see Creating an online services account as an employer for more information.

January due dates for reporting payroll and paying premiums

It is your responsibility to stay up to date with payroll reporting and payments on your WorkSafeBC account. Please keep these important dates in mind:

  • January 20, 2025: Payments are due for those with Personal Optional Protection coverage.
  • January 20, 2025: Q4 2024 payroll reporting and payments are due for quarterly reporting accounts.

Online options for reporting and paying

Postal delays may affect when you receive a hard copy of your payroll report. Employers who need to report payroll and pay premiums can use our online services. For more information, see Report payroll & pay premiums.

Additional options for Personal Optional Protection (POP) holders

If you are a POP holder, you can sign up for notifications and pre-authorized payments to help manage your account.
