Penalties: WorkSafe Magazine May/June
A list of recent administrative penalties imposed on employers by WorkSafeBC is published in each issue of WorkSafe Magazine.
The list of penalties by industry sector includes company names, penalty amounts, and descriptions and locations of the violations.
The May/June 2012 issue includes a list of 55 penalties. Of note:
- 2 penalties were related to worker fatalities
- 4 penalties were related to young workers (age 15–24 years), 3 of whom were seriously injured
- 3 penalties were related to asbestos and/or hazardous materials; some employers received multiple penalties
