Small business safety information
October is small business month in B.C., and WorkSafeBC offers health and safety information that is tailored to the needs of businesses with fewer than 20 employees.
The following are links to some of the resources that may be of interest to your small business readers or audience:
- Small Smart and Safe: This series of videos offers basic health and safety information for small employers. They are free and can be viewed online or downloaded to a computer or smart phone.
- Small business portal: A one-stop online resource for information on registering with WorkSafeBC, safety resources, and claims management information.
Resources for smaller businesses – 5 or fewer employees:
- Small Business Primer: This downloadable guide (PDF 713kb) helps businesses meet their Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
- Small Business Health and Safety Log Book: This downloadable guide (PDF 403kb) includes tips and checklists for setting up a health and safety program, from training workers to reporting incidents and maintaining records.
