Phillip Legg has been appointed as the new worker representative. Phillip is currently the director of policy and communications for the Federation of Post-Secondary Educators and sits on several external boards and committees.

Joe Lindgren has been appointed as the new employer representative. Joe is a small business owner and president of Lincor Enterprises Ltd., a commercial painting and decorating business located in Vancouver, B.C. He also sits on several external boards.

All of the appointments are for a period of two years.

WorkSafeBC is an independent provincial statutory agency governed by a Board of Director that serves about two million workers and more than 197,000 employers.  WorkSafeBC was born from the historic compromise between BC’s workers and employers in 1917 where workers gave up the right to sue their employers and fellow workers for injuries on the job in return for a no-fault insurance program fully paid for by employers.  WorkSafeBC is committed to safe and healthy workplaces and to providing return-to-work rehabilitation and legislated compensation benefits.
