tempered
Maintained at temperatures from 15 ºC to 30 ºC (60 ºF to 85
ºF).
temporary
Non-routine work, and does not refer to routine work of short
duration.
three dB exchange rate
That when the sound energy doubles, the decibel (dB) level
increases by 3.
tilt-up construction
A system of building construction in which concrete wall panels
are placed in position in the permanent structure and temporarily braced or
supported.
total fall distance
The distance from the point where the worker would begin to
fall to the point where the fall would be stopped.
toxic process gas
A gas which (a) meets the requirements of WHMIS classification
as a class D Division 1 Subdivision A (very toxic acute health effect materials)
or a class D Division 2 (very toxic and toxic chronic health effect materials)
controlled product, and (b) is used for purposes of (i) an industrial process
in which a precursor is changed into a product, (ii) refrigeration by means
of a piped installation, or (iii) treatment of materials, for example, in a
disinfection system.
training agency
A person or organization recognized by the board to provide
first aid instruction.
transfer system
A system in which the washing and drying is done in separate
machines.
trench
An excavation less than 3.7 m (12 ft) wide at the bottom,
over 1.2 m (4 ft) deep, and of any length.
turn
One or more logs that are skidded or yarded to the landing
at one time.
