Care Services

WorkSafeBC has a formal agreement with a network of Care Service providers.

Care Services help injured workers maintain self-care skills that allow them to live, participate, and work in their communities. Services address physical and psychological needs, as well as appropriate behavioural interventions. A qualified contractor may provide service in the worker's home and/or community settings, or in a facility, to assist him/her in retaining and improving independence.

WorkSafeBC is charged with the administration of the Workers Compensation Act R.S.B.C. 1996 c. 492 as amended, under which we have authority to provide health care and rehabilitation services to workers who sustain injuries arising out of and in the course of their employment. In exercising that authority, a series of varied programs and services (called Board Sponsored Rehabilitation Services) have been established to meet injured-worker and referral-source needs.
