Funded research projects
Since 2001, WorkSafeBC has awarded about $11.8 million to 123 research projects and 17 research training awards. Funded projects have been organized into the following thematic categories.
Societal change in occupational health and safety
Occupational disease, injury and health services
Compensation, disability management and return-to-work
Changing nature of work and work environment
Transferring research knowledge to the workplace
When projects are completed, summaries of research results are posted to our web site.
Please also note that the AWCBC Research Inventory brings together information about current and recent research projects funded by workers' compensation boards across Canada, including WorkSafeBC, that relate to the prevention/reduction of occupational injury, illness and disability.
