Submitting bids

WorkSafeBC requests bids and proposals be submitted by the date and time indicated on the bid. All contact for solicitation of goods or services can be directed to Corporate and Health Care Purchasing (CHCP). Please do not contact departments directly to sell products or services.

Bid documents

  • Bidders must not alter any portion of the documents, with the exception of adding the information requested. Failure to do so may invalidate your submission.
  • Bid documents such as Request for Quotations (RFQ) or Request for Proposals (RFP) contain specific instructions on how to receive updates and addenda's to bid documents. This includes but is not limited to: amendments, site visit schedules, pre-bid meeting notifications and meeting minutes. Please follow the instructions carefully to ensure that you receive any updates that may be issued.
  • Bidders who retrieve or download bid documents from WorkSafeBC.com or B.C. bid for submission will be responsible for viewing the Bid Opportunity page for all further requirements.

Pre-bid/Pre-proposal meetings

Suppliers are encouraged to arrange for sales appointments directly with the Purchasing Officers responsible for obtaining the specific goods and/or services offered. All appointment must be pre-arranged to ensure suppliers have security access to WorkSafeBC premises. Find out how to contact us.

The purpose of pre-bid/ pre-proposal meeting is to provide an opportunity for suppliers to address questions or gather information regarding to the bid opportunity documents. The bid opportunity documents will contain further information about these meetings if they are required.

Delivering bids

Suppliers are advised to carefully read the specific submission instructions contained in the bid opportunity document to determine the method of submission.

  • At this time the WCB does not accept submission by e-mail. Submissions sent by e-mail will be rejected without any further consideration.
  • If a faxed submission is acceptable, it should not exceed 20 pages.
