“As a project manager on the Claims Management Solutions (CMS) project, I help monitor any issues that occur, so I can raise potential problems to higher management. I also provide guidance to the infrastructure and testing application stream of the CMS project - raising issues and helping to resolve them.
I’ve always wanted a job where I can help people; when we build new applications or enhance current systems to help WorkSafeBC staff do their jobs better, we’re indirectly helping injured workers and employers. It’s very rewarding.
I find the managers in my area extremely knowledgeable and helpful. If you want to succeed, they’ll help you acquire the education and training you need to accomplish your goals. They’re very good at trying to provide you with the experience you need to get the job you want.
