“As a purchasing officer — for both corporate needs and client health care — my job is always changing. On the client side, I am responsible for securing and vetting health care services and equipment. Internal operations are the other side of my job — I research and oversee everything from office construction and renovation bids, to facilities requests like elevator maintenance.
A big part of my job is to ensure purchasing is fair and equitable, as required by industry legislation and WorkSafeBC’s Purchasing Policy. I also monitor the work of contractors and consultants to make sure project goals and deadlines are met.
My colleagues are incredibly knowledgeable in their respective positions; best of all they are always willing to share their expertise with the entire team, so we can all grow professionally and perform at our best.
